I visited Shanghai in November 2003, and got to dine at fine Chinese restaurant tables (see to the left). I explored some of Shanghai, and learnt to enjoy the city much more than I liked Beijing. |

I visited Taiwan in November 2002, just before starting my professional career in Tokyo. As on the mainland, people generally work all day, then they eat. After sleeping for 2 hours or so, they get going again. Fascinating. |

My trip to South-Korea was way too short, but I had the opportunity to explore parts of Seoul and the border to North-Korea. Excellent food, beautiful women, yet way too many American army idiots. A bit more Chinese than Japan, but still civilized. |

I went to Venezuela by myself during the summer of 2001, and had the pleasure of visiting most parts of the country. Though the country is great in many aspects, a high crime rate and relatively steep prices makes it a difficult place to travel on a budget. Still, my first trip to South-America was a splendid experience. Please leave your thoughts when finished :) |

Miho and I visited Switzerland for about 10 days in early August 2000, and with the help of some great Swiss friends, we were able to travel to some really incredible places. See pictures and info from Zurich, Montreux and Interlaken. |
