Jan does Switzerland

I know I am a lucky guy since I am able to travel so much, but I am also grateful for the great friends I have made over the years. Last year, when going home for the summer, I took the transsiberian with my buddy Adam, and went all the way from Beijing-Paris by train. I would have loved to do something similar this year, but due to my upcoming exchange year at the University of Pennsylvania, time would not allow any lengthy travelling. Thus, I was happy to discover that my flight back to Norway was going through Switzerland, a country I had always wanted to visit. When getting this information, I sent a mail to Markus, a good friend who came to Japan for a year as an exchange student. I turns out that he lives fifteen minutes away from Zürich Airport, and therefore offered my girlfriend and me to stay in his guestroom. Another Swiss friend of mine, Nicky, did additionally invite us to his family's beautiful hotel in the Alps.

I want to thank Daniel, Markus, Nicky, Mr/Mrs. Ritter, Vivian and all the others who helped make my visit to Switzerland such a memorable experience. It is definitely a country I would love to "do" again; Just need some more money!
