November 16, 2000:
America is currently the laughing stock of the world, and man, am I enjoying it! The other day, I heard that Russia's President Vladimir Putin offered to send observers to monitor the American election. Good to see the former spy has a sense of humour. Also, it is great to witness how America has placed itself in the league of African nations when it comes to democracy. First of all, the two major candidates are both financed by major corporations, and the average man in the street has no power to influence who becomes the presidential candidate for the two major political parties. Having said that, this is perhaps not a bad thing, especially when considering the population of this country. Philadelphia must be the world's biggest zoo, and the incompetence of its inhabitants is only surpassed by that of the Philippines. In one sense, the comparison to a zoo can seem unfair, this as lions and tigers generally only attack humans when threatened. In Philly, one can never feel safe; Maniacs are waiting on every corner.
The inhabitants of Philadelphia are obviously not to blame for the election though. Still, it should be considered a miracle that the mayor of Philly was able to find enough people capable of counting ballots! In Florida, it is nothing but amazing how officials reach a different results every time they count, but then again, they do not even know what procedures to follow. Anyway, America's pain is my joy, and if we are lucky, they might even end up without a president. Then, I have heard, Queen Elizabeth has offered to take America back into her fold.

Tonya is this week's Babe of the Week, and
her beauty surpasses just about every sexy symbol I have had the pleasure of presenting,
including Tori Spelling. The picture was taken just after Tonya had finished a box
of chocolate, but as you can see, she has not finished eating the wrapping. When born, Tonya gained instant fame, this as she is the first successful offspring of a walrus and a WaWa employee. My love for Tonya can perhaps be described in words, yet her love for me is too big to explain. When she sits on my lap eating chocolate; I feel like I can't breathe. When I shave her legs; I feel like I never get done. When she sleeps in my bed; she usually pushes me down on the floor. Again, Dan gets credit for having contributed this picture. His dream for the future is to find a job that enables him to stare at a lot of spreadsheets, but I think he would do an awesome job as a model scout. |
Because my girlfriend is coming over from Japan on Tuesday, I will not update my Upenn page next week. Additionally, people here are celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, so school is off both Thursday and Friday. In a couple of days though, I will put up lots of pictures depicting my life here in America, so stay tuned!
