Going swimming

Free Willy!

By a weird coincidence, three friends from my exchange year (96/97) happened to be back in Japan at the same time. Wit is studying with me at Sophia, Megan is teaching, this while Chris was doing a project for the summer.

Miho, Megan and I went to some beach in Chiba, but were not too lucky with the weather. It rained quite a bit, and the water was fairly cold. Yet, going on trips is always fun, and this especially when I survive my girlfriend's driving.

Megan and I are big fans of the "Free Willy" movies, so we decided to make yet a sequel. But, after I tookWilly from behind, the dumb whale got sentimental and refused to swim away. What a dumb mammal (not fish!).

Hazuki Ai and Megan Williams

Ai Yamakawa

Party until 5 AM

Ai Hazuki is the Clarion Girl of Japan, and thus one of the few celebrities I know. Megan Williams (the New Zealand actress) is also pretty famous, but mostly appears on Japanese TV. They never really talked to me, but at least they came to hang out with Kenji while I was in same building.

Ai is one of my best friends at Sophia, and dreams of becoming a piano teacher. To reach this goal she studies Russian, which I guess makes sense. She might at least get a job, which is more than can be said about me. My only hope is that Kenji makes it big with TK, this so I can help him handle all the chicks.

Before Kenji went back to the States, he decided to hold a party with lots of celebrities and rising stars. I was allowed to join, this on the condition that I wouldn't mingle too much. Lots of people came, and some stayed until the early afternoon. July 29, 2000, is definitively a day that should be repeated.
