What is this, anyway?

The plan was originally to do something sensible with this page, in other words to give some information on my travels in Japan April 1999.  I brought my sister to the country I for some reason can't seem to get away from, and together we went to Fukui and Kyoto... that of course in addition to seeing Tokyo with vicinities. Even  though we took many great pictures, look at the ones I chose to scan in. The first I scanned for my teaching job, the second because I look especially attractive in the picture and hoped to use it in my weekly personals..... Anyway, I apologize, and hope to get back with more pictures from the country of the depressed sun.

Pretty Jan

At Copenhagen Airport, SAS offered my sister and me four hundred dollars each to change our route to Japan. Because SAS' plane was full, we agreed to fly AirFrance to Tokyo instead. Obviously AirFrance is a horrible airline, but we accepted the 800 hundred bucks.

In addition to 400 dollars each, we also got 180 Danish crowns each to spend at the airport. That is why you can see us enjoying a meal.

Greten og Jan

Greten with my host parents inside their house. Notice Santa's small helpers in the background; they're products of my mom back home.

Greten and Ambe

Greten and Ambe, again!

Outside my host parents house; in other words another picture without any interest.

Greten outside Sophia Uni!

Greten and I outside Sophia University in Yotsuya, Tokyo. It's cherry blossom season (a very big thing in Japan).
