Anthony and Jan

Anthony"kun", he never became "san"

For some reason, Anthony Leon never became "san". In Japan one shows respect for one another by adding "san" and "kun" and other stuff at the end of names. "San" is more polite than "kun", so if someone calls you "Anthonysan", you have a reason to be proud.

But nobody ever called Anthony "Anthonysan", he just remained "Anthonykun" all the way. Maybe that was what angered Anthony so... Maybe that's why Anthony never really got to LOVE Japan?

Well, I'll stop this philosophical nonsense. It didn't take a long time before I started to like Anthony....Uff, that sounded so gay.... No, what I'm trying to say is...

Anthony really kicks ass. And together with him I had the pleasure of kicking lots of asses here in Japan. Together with Charlene we formed the ultimate trio when we went out on trips, and nobody could do "Love me tender" or "Puff the magic dragon" better in karaoke!

Now Anthony is home in New York State, probably working towards his goal... Which is to outlaw exchanges to all other countries than Canada. If he's not he's certainly out looking at Volvos or at home reading Stephen King's newest roman.

Anthony would be the perfect US ambassador to Japan. Because of his non-biased views on Japan he'll certainly be able to do better than... someone... I hope.

Get back!
