Jan Visits the Pulpit Rock in Bad Weather


In July of 2007, I made yet another attempt to visit Kjerag, a popular hiking destination in Western Norway.	I failed my first attempt to visit Kjerag two years ago, and the cause was the same as this year.

Here you see it: Fog. When visiting Norway, do not expect to see the sun. If you visit the mountains, most likely you will encounter a scene similar to the above.	Since Yuka had come to visit Norway, we also decided to visit the Pulpit Rock, or "Prekestolen" as it is known in Norwegian.

When I visited the same place in 2004, the views were somewhat better. Please see for yourself.	With hundreds of tourists visiting this famous tourist attraction, it was all a rather sad experience.
