Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
After visiting Jong's Crocodile Farm, we ventured on to the Fairy Cave. This is a picture of us after we had walked through the cave and exited on the opposite side.

From inside the grotto.  The entrance to the cave is located 30 meters above the ground, and a pretty steep climb is required to get in. Another shot of the cave.  Supposedly, lots of Chinese people died in the cave due to an accident a long time ago.  For that reason, many Chinese still gather to pray in the cave.  Our Malay guide joked that they may actually be praying to win in the lottery, but who knows.

Again, remembering that Kuching means "cat" in Malay, here is a picture of a tacky cat statue located in the middle of the city. Sarawak's oldest national park, Bako, is located just 30 minutes by bus and a small boat trip away from Kuching city.

A picture of the sign to prove that we've been there.  Obviously, we could simply have made the sign ourselves and brought it to for example Okinawa, but that sounds rather far-fetched, right? With 27 square kilometers of unspoilt nature, Bako offers visitors with quite a few surprises.  The crazy tree or whatever that I am holding is supposedly used to make furniture.
